Seriously, it's easier for me to browse into a collection of symphonies performed by a given ensemble and select the symphony I want to hear. Thus, my multi-disc Haydn symphony collections are named: Symphonies - La Petite Bande Symphonies - Apollo Ensemble Symphonies - The Academy of Ancient Music, Hogwood Symphonies - The Hanover Band, Goodman ..etc. Haydn symphonies are also often grouped by published collection, i.e. "Paris Symphonies", "London Symphonies", etc. That would be another approach.
