If you're on a Mac, as I am, what's wrong with ALAC? It is a LOSSLESS format and has been proven to be absolutely IDENTICAL to the original. I've been a Squeeze user for two+ years with (2) SB3s and a Transporter, running SqueezeCenter on a MacMINI that has never been turned off and continues to work without issue. The only thing different you'll noticed switching to AIFF or WAV from ALAC is your drive space disappearing much faster. BTW, in the 'pro' world, both AIFF and WAV are semi-dead formats, being taken over by BWAV (Broadcast WAV) which offers complete meta-data storing. However, don't expect this file format to appear anytime soon in consumer apps. -- Eric Seaberg Eric Seaberg - San Diego A.E.S., S.M.P.T.E., S.P.A.R.S.
