I've been using a format like this for quite some time now: ARTIST="Herbie Hancock + Freddie Hubbard" ARTISTSORT="Hancock, Herbie + Hubbard, Freddie" Makes for a nicer reading on players that don't support delimiters. It's crucial to use exactly the same delimiter and the same number of spaces, in my case ' + ' in both frames.
