I believe that the Reference version will do this if you have multiple
processors. My belief is based on my observation that my trial copy
would encode and rip in parallel; when the trial expired I only bought
the PowerPack version because I didn't think I'd need the extra
features; and now it doesn't rip and encode at the same time. May
revisit that decision (I also miss the Explorer properties pop-up for
FLAC files)...

Yes. Much as I like the multi-site lookup, stuff does still slip
through (and I don't notice until too late!)

One quirk - probably not dbp's fault - is that the Year tag often gets
a date rather than a year assigned; and this means that when I blindly
use foobar2k to convert to mp3s for our iPods, the resulting tracks
have a Date but no Year. My wife relies on the Year tag a lot, so I was
in the Bad Book when she found out.

But this is a minor quibble; dbPoweramp has simplified my rip workflow
too.  I had reached a sort of "can't be bothered to rip all these other
CDs" hurdle, but now... all I need is time to listen to them all!
