I believe that the Reference version will do this if you have multiple processors. My belief is based on my observation that my trial copy would encode and rip in parallel; when the trial expired I only bought the PowerPack version because I didn't think I'd need the extra features; and now it doesn't rip and encode at the same time. May revisit that decision (I also miss the Explorer properties pop-up for FLAC files)... > And I still like to open the album up in Mp3Tag after ripping to check > the tag content - check what tags formats are present and get rid of a > load of chaff. Yes. Much as I like the multi-site lookup, stuff does still slip through (and I don't notice until too late!) One quirk - probably not dbp's fault - is that the Year tag often gets a date rather than a year assigned; and this means that when I blindly use foobar2k to convert to mp3s for our iPods, the resulting tracks have a Date but no Year. My wife relies on the Year tag a lot, so I was in the Bad Book when she found out. But this is a minor quibble; dbPoweramp has simplified my rip workflow too. I had reached a sort of "can't be bothered to rip all these other CDs" hurdle, but now... all I need is time to listen to them all! -- Brian -- Brian Ritchie ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Brian Ritchie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2319 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57787 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
