Ok FLAC does not use the BAND tag for Album Artist, can not speak of mp3 because I do not use it. FLAC uses ALBUMARTIST so this should not be an issue for you. Except for maybe mp3s which with dbpoweramp if you encode both at the same time just setup a rule for mp3s to remove it.
You EAC config does not have the logic to not write Album Artist by your rules. However you can have dbpoweramp do exactly as EAC. Just untick the options as I said. Did you actually rip the CD with the options unticked? Cause mine works as it should. Note the UI still tells you the data is just does not write it. Trust us, most of us came from where you are with EAC. I was a long time EAC person and saw no reason for dbpoweramp. I wish I had not been, cause it really simplifys my ripping process. Edit: notice you are using the powerpack version, it is possible some of the more advanced features we speak of may not be available. Things like DSP effects (which is a bad name for it) may not work in powerpack I am not sure. DSP effects are plugins that you can add to dbpoweramp to do any NUMBER of things one. Like replaygain, or modify the metadata even further.
