For the sake of experimenting is not easier to create a temporary file set offline with audacity or db power amp or foobar or... that is 24/48 . than messing up SC.
or buy some 24/96 files at HD-tracks. btw afaik 44.1 to 48 is not a clean process ? you loose something. 192=96*2=48*4 even multiples. better use files in that format Or for comparison use a 24/96 that you downsample to 24/48 ,24/44.1 and 16/48 and 16/44.1 Is not a couple of files enough for observing you Tact's behaviour .
