Thanks MNYB.
Yes - it is a long term trial.
I've done many actual file conversions using Audacity - that's fine for
certain things I was doing.

What I want to do now is to have SC dynamically transcode my collection
(which is mostly 16/44.1, with a fair few 24/44.1, some 24/48 and some
24/96) to 24/48 so that when playing random/IP mixes everything is at
the same rate/depth going into the TACT from the SB3.

I can see that convert.conf can be edited to do this using the SOX
package. I've spent hours trying to understand the opaque command line
used in convert.conf and I've done some speculative editing but so far
either it doesn't transcode from 44.1-48 or it doesn't play at all.

I was hoping that someone here might have either done this or at least
know enough about convert.conf and SOX to give me some pointers.
Regards
Phil

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd call minimal...SB3+Stontronics PSU - Altmann
JISCO/UPCI - TACT 2.2X (Linear PSU) + Good Vibrations S/W - MF
Triplethreat(Audiocom full mods)- Linn 5103 - Aktiv 5.1 system (6x
LK140's, ESPEK/TRIKAN/KATAN/SEIZMIK 10.5), Townsend Supertweeters,
Kimber & Chord cables
Outdoors: Boombox+Creative Sub (If I remember to turn it on...)
