Yes, and hopefully. If the software isn't up to par, you could try Audacity as that works well. What I did with my MDs was play them through the recorder software first to set the correct level then play them again to record with that level set. If you don't do that you may find that you are adjusting the level during recording which you (or your MD recorder) may have also done when you made the MDs.
