I've just finished setting up an Intel Atom-based Ubuntu server that
will handle audio and video files for my entertainment system.

I'm about to start re-ripping all my music to FLAC on my iMac and am
looking for some suggestions on the process.

My plan is to rip to FLAC using Max. Should I rip to a single file or
do I want to have separate files for each track? Do I want to generate
a cue sheet? Does it matter what file naming format I use? What ripper
do I want to use: basic, comparison or cdparanoia? Where should I get
CD information: iTunes or MusicBrainz? And what tags do I need? Can I
do all this on Max or would I need Tag as well??

I plan to rip and save to my iMac workstation and transfer via ethernet
to the server at the end of the day. Is there a more efficient way of
doing this??
