Obviously, your only choice on conversion is to a lossless format so
FLAC seems to fit the bill. Whether you convert at all depends on
whether the cue sheet can hold the tag info (I know nothing about cue
sheets) or whether you can get SC to work out what the tags would be
from the Wave file name.

FWIW, I've had no problems streaming 5.1 DTS compressed to FLAC (-8
compression) through my SB3/surround processor so I wouldn't worry
about the FLAC file size being a bit larger than the Wave file.
