On most albums you should be able to turn it off and on and notice a
difference.  Some albums you might not.  Most modern albums in rock are
in the -7 to -10 db range so you should notice a difference. But like I
said before it takes time for Itunes to tag all your files.  Use mp3 tag
to see if they have the soundcheck tags.  You'll have to use
view/extended tags (in itunes) to see them.
