i'm sorry, i misunderstood. i didn't understand you didn't want to use ALBUM GAIN. but then the solution is simple... leave "Smart Gain" selected, and remove all album RG tags. so when it just plays tracks it'll use track gain, and when it plays albums, it won't use any RG b/c album RG tags aren't present.
