I've just discovered (via Nokia BetaLab Audiobooks app) this highly efficient format for optimised voice storage. I believe it is derived from the ARM format used by phone companies for voice compression.
While I happily keep my music in FLAC it seems to make no sense to use up unnecessary space for the many talking books I wish to store and play via my Squeezbox. As an example Bill Bryson's audio CDs run to over 11GB in WAV, reducing to about 1GB using MP3 128kbps or a tiny 103MB using AWB. As I would like to be able to maintain cross device compatibility does anybody know if there is a plug-in which will allow this format to be supported. -- Wudang ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wudang's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31058 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=64576 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
