Hi there This is a relatively minor problem I'm having, but it is driving me crazy, so I hope someone can give me some new ideas on what to try to resolve it.
Problem - my Miles Davis CDs all show up as "miles Davis" in Squeezecenter (not "Miles Davis"). They're the only files that behave this way in my library (800+ CDs). I use dbpoweramp to rip CDs to FLAC. The Folder set-up is Artist\Album, one file per track. The files are named using the artist and track number and name, with correct capitalization. I have tried all the following: (1) checked the tags and extended tags in Mp3tag; use Mp3tag to remove all tags then "undo" that so that only Mp3tag ones remain. (2) check and edit tags in foobar. Include "Album Artist" along with <ALBUMARTIST>" and "Artist", all as "Miles Davis". (3) check tags using dbpoweramp's tag editor, no reference to "miles Davis" (4) delete Miles Davis folder, clear library and rescan in SC, re-rip using dbpoweramp (with corrrect tags), rescan library. Repeat tag checking (1)-(3)exercise above The only time that "miles Davis" appears in any of these checks is when I start typing a search into foobar's library search. It seems something is there, but I'm darned if I can find it and get rid of it! I am running SC 7.3.3 on a NAS (QNAP 209). I hope that's enough information for someone to suggest something I'm missing.
