How stupid can I be??? :-( I *knew* replaygain had to be removed from DTS tracks, but it's so long since I ripped any, I had totally forgotten! I even have a one-line batch file that does it automatically! Thanks BadBob - problem solved! Mnyb, thanks for your comments too. I realise FLAC achieves little compression on DTS tracks, but it has the advantage of Artist/Title tags, plus makes my automatic playlist generation simpler (*all* 17k+ tracks being in FLAC files).
