>wrong, its a bug, SC hides CORRECTLY tagged music. > Wrong, it's an enhancement request, for Squeezebox Server to handle sub-optimal tagging.
>there is nothing wrong with the tags. there is something wrong with >how SC handles such tags. > There is no right or wrong tags, as there's no standard for representing compilation albums. There are some defacto standards, which I know you love so much, and Squeezebox Server supports those. Gracenote, and your beloved WinAmp, it appears, does not. >there was no reason for you to start this in this thread, it was >already in the bug report. Hey, you started it, and you said there's no need to bring up the argument again. I was merely correcting your winge that it is a bug (no doubt that you will claim will affect "most users"), and pointing out that with a minor alternation to tagging, there is no problem. "Most users" who have had this issue have been fine with that, correcting their tags. An alternative, which is more of a hack, is to change the special name used to represent compilation albums within the application Library Settings page. Or you can shout about the enhancement request and wait patiently for someone to implement it. _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
