For starters I would change from WAV to FLAC.

Wav has very limited meta data (or tag) handling, Flac is much more
robust in this. don't worry about loosing quality, FLAC stands for Free
*Lossless* Audio Codec.

as you are using dbpoweramp, you can use the batch converter to
compress to FLAC without having to re-rip. If you do this, there will be
the option to change the compression "quality", it isn't really the
quality it's changing (with FLAC everything is lossless), it's just how
aggressive it will try and compress things. the difference in
compression ration between 1 and 8 isn't a great deal, probably less
than 10%, but the amount of time taken to process goes up dramatically
from 1 to 8. I usually compress at level 8 because I have a fast PC and
I'm only going to do it one so it really isn't an issue, and with 1,600
CDs even a few percent better compression makes a difference :)
