Hi Honva and B1ttbull,

...I made some changes in old posting to clearify what I want to say
:0).

BUT:

I´ve got now my peace with playing multichannel: An additional fault
was in my Onkyo-receiver: If it receives faulty PCM-coded data once, it
won´t play multichannel until switching it completely off. Means: If I
try to play faulty mutlichannel once (e.g. real multichannel dts-FLAC,
not compressed FLAC) it won´t play any more via optical input until
switching off via hard-key, not remote button (!). Therefore I can´t
understand the result of my testing procedure: Sometimes no
multichannel-in could be processed.

After understanding this - everything is fine: I can play converted and
compressed multichannel FLAC!! I deleted my generated test-files with
uncompressed, original multichannel-FLAC: EVERYTHING FINE!!

Therefore: Many thanks for all.

Perhaps it could be useful to build a FAQ-section for beginners like me
...
