i use both EAC and winamp. when you insert a CD, EAC by default will access FreeDB for CD info, like artist, track, etc...
winamp does the same thing, except it uses Gracenote. you can get EAC to access Gracenote instead of FreeDB, but i have not done this. google the instructions for it. it is important to have the info PRIOR to the rip, as that info creates not only the tag info, but the folder/filename construction as well. you can run winamps "autotag" on a given file, but its not as accurate, nor does it fix filenames. -- MrSinatra www.lion-radio.org using: sb2 & sbc (my home) / sbr (parent's home) - sbs 7.5b - win xp pro sp3 ie8 - p4(ht) 3.2ghz / 2gig ram - 1tb wd usb2 raid1 - d-link dir-655 - 40k+ mp3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrSinatra's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2336 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78568 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
