I've answered my own question. MP3 only. It seems SBS supports both ArtistSort and ArtistSortOder. However if you are using the same tagged mp3 for itunes also. iTunes only supports ArtistSortOrder.
Album Artist, i now use Band and BandSortOrder instead.
