Hi guys,

i searched the forum, and gave up after an hour without finding a
solution, so sorry if it was asked before. So here comes my question.

All my music files (flac, mp3 and some aac) are tagged with replay gain
album gain, album peak, track gain and track peak tags using foobar2000.
When playing an album, i do not actually want any replay gain to be
applied. When paying in shuffle mode or a playlist the replay gain
track values should be applied to avoid the jumps in volume. So i
wonder how to achieve this with the available squeezebox replay gain
options. I thought about setting the SmartGain option and tagging the
album replay gain to 0dB and album replay peak to 1. Or would it be
more appropriate to simply delete the album replay gain and peak tags?
Would the squeeze server default to 0dB replay gain when playing an
album in smart mode, if the album replay gain tags are not there?

Thanks
Daniel
