The DAC chip with the HDCD decoder is the vulnerable component. More importantly, better DAC's (without HDCD) are coming out every day and I wouldn't want to be locked in... -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
