Fanatical... because you assume that your way is THE right way. As far
as I see, your way is not definitively right (nor wrong). However, you
come across as fanatical by making condescending remarks as if what I
have done in some cases is as stupid as using the album name in the
artist name.

Then you go on to state perhaps your most correct point in that album
RG gain is more of an abstract concept anyway. I agree with that. It
also just goes to show that there isn't going to be a RIGHT way. It's
what works best for the listener.

Personally, if I were to come across a 2-disc set where the volume
difference between disc 1 and disc 2 were to be on the order of >2 db,
I'm not sure I'd even consider using two different RG values.

I would suspect that the engineer purposely made that choice and as a
listener, I like respecting that type of choice. If I don't like the
choice, well then I would certainly make the adjustment.

Afterall, ultimately, it isn't the numbers that matter as much as what
we hear. It can be obvious when the RG values are wrong just as it is
obvious when tracks don't have them (I especially hate streaming vs.
local file for the volume). I have no problem manually adjusting RG
values as I see fit, which is right for me and my listening.
