If you move those files to another drive or computer, does the metada
carry over with them? I had tagged all of my music collection on iTunes,
but that didn't work for my wav files.

I was just backing up and organizing my music collection (8000+ files),
and after re-importing everything into iTunes, I noticed that 250 files
didn't have metadata. I quickly realized that they were all wav files.

If I can help it I'd rather find a way to tag them so that in case of a
drive corruption or the purchase a new tower, I wouldn't have to re-tag
those 250 files every time.

If you haven't run into that problem, what custom application do you use
the write the tags to the wav files?

I run both a laptop (WinXP) and a desktop (Mac OS 10.6.8).
