I hope you are not implying I was suggesting another way was wrong :)

Regarding the FLAC/CUE RAW image aspect - I guess that is only important
if you are ripping with the purpose of achieving a restorable archive.
That's never been my Raison d'ĂȘtre - if it had then I may have taken the
CUE file route. I just rip for the purposes of the RANDOM feature on the
Touch and Media Jukebox. Along with all the other features that I don't
use (here I go again :)) is the choice to play a full album via the
Touch - if I want to do that I'll play the CD. I'm not going to discuss
why I feel they sound appreciably better via the CD player as I have
seen the crapshoot that relates to other's claims to that effect (and
it's seriously in the realms of thread-crap top carry that one forward).
I did notice another thread that discussed where people keep their CDs
and was surprised at how many stuff them in the attic or basement. We're
again getting into thread-crap territory here, so I apologise in
advance, but I prefer to see the CDs - it's like books and DVDs - they
are an integral part of who I am and what my tastes are and whether or
not anyone else ever sees them on display, I do and it's kind of a
comfort. Besides, do you all rip EVERY album? I sure as hell don't and
would never want to - this is the WHEAT from CHAFF concept which surely
must impact others?

Sorry for the waffle......
