I had to try . Bought the files (2 song single ) downloaded with Firefox on Linux mint 13 (sometimes the this may matter )
Result 1 GStreamer on Linux (mint 13 debian based ) does not like it all . neither do Sound Converter . Track 2 "the hexadecimal mix" cant be played correctly by Banshee or Exaile but are ok with VLC and Gnome player . Track 2 is 48kHz according to VLC , this seems to be correct as my DAC reports this samplerate to . Track 1 plays seemingly normal on all players Codec is reported as FFALAC Plays fine on Boom and Touch Transcoded by LMS ( faad2 ),default file types setting . Trying the native ALAC on Touch did not work ,the native playback seems buggy in general for ALAC on Touch .
