No worries - I am asking because I switched all my network shares from
Samba to NFS (except Time Machine backups, which work over AFP
shares). And I haven't had any major problems. OK - hangups while I was
setting up and changing settings on the Linux server, but after they
didn't change anymore, no problems so far.

I would very much appreciate to get some report back from you.
