We are pleased to invite you to the first meeting of a new D-Lab <http://dlab.berkeley.edu/>Working Group dedicated to the emerging field of Learning Analytics <http://dlab.berkeley.edu/working-groups/berkeley-learning-analytics-group>. The first meeting of the B-LAWG (Berkeley Learning Analytics Working Group) will be on Thursday, April 21st from 4:30-5:30 PM in the D-Lab Conference Room (371 Barrows). Here’s the agenda:
- Introductions (20 minutes) -- All - Goals, activities, meeting frequency (20 minutes) -- All - Overview of current campus work (20 minutes) -- Nico Matthijs, Educational Technology Services We hope that the B-LAWG will help generate broader campus awareness of this exciting new domain, spur partnerships and collaborations among research, teaching and learning, and operations, and highlight the challenges that come with various potential uses of the data.
