I will test the CD ripping, can you elaborate on the clock drift? Does 
using NTP correct this? How bad of a problem would that be? I have no 
intention of using this for on-air use. How can I test for this to see 
if maybe VirtualBox is better in this regard than VMWare?

I WAs trying to avoid having two audio cards, and it seems that 
situation one (windows host, RD guest) seems to allow that, I was able 
to play audio from rivendell, and it was mixed with my windows audio. 
Since I would not be using both at the same time, that would not be a 
problem. There could be added Latency of course, but I don't think that 
will be a problem, some testing of course will be in order.
