Have you tried running Adobe Audition on Linux with Wine and Jack? I have not
tried it myself but have tried other windows software and it works fine.

Subject: [RDD] Run Rivendell on windows....Virtualization.

I have been playing around with Virtual Box by Oracle systems on my
windows 7 machine. I decided it would be neat to have a Rivendell system
to experiment on and so I set up a virtual machine to host the broadcast
appliance. To my surprise everything works, I really was not expecting
audio output to work properly for some reason, though as I understand
more about Virtualization, there is no reason it should not work.

Anyway, has anyone else tried this before. Is there anything I should be
careful with?  I may end up doing this in the production room so we can
have Adobe Audition, and access to Rivendell for voice tracking.
previously I was going to put two machines in there, but I really felt
like that was a waste of a machine.....

Also, I suspect that because of the way Rivendell grabs the audio
hardware, I would not be able to do the opposite, that is run the Linux
version of Virtual Box on the Rivendell system and host a virtual
windows machine to run adobe......

Thanks,
Nathan
