Hi all, I'm looking for suggestions from those who have 2.1.X running (preferably Broadcast Appliance).
The USB->S/PDIF interfaces we've been using successfully with RRAbuntu (a.k.a Rivendell 1.7.1) have some (as yet) irreconcilable differences with 2.1.x. A PCI card like the ASI cards is on option but the computers we're using for Rivendell are "Small Form Factor" Dell desktop computers and they only have 2 expansion slots, 1 - PCI and 1 - PCIe. Both slots are limited to 2.7" high by 6.6" long. The ASI cards are full height. Replacing the computers is an option but also an additional expense and space is tight in the studio racks. Can anyone recommend another card that would fit that has been used successfully or a USB interface that has been used successfully that would give us S/PDIF or AES/EBU IO?
