snip Way back in 2006 I had asked some questions about .wav files and Rivendell. Below is a partial reply from Fred G. explaining it to me. "A Broadcast Wavefile can be either PCM16 or MPEG Layer 2. The format is defined by the European Broadcasting Union in a document known as 'Technical Publication 3285', which also has several supplements. You find them online at: http://www.ebu.ch/en/technical/publications/tech3000_series/index.php" I expect that RD is still using this format. The cart chunk data was added some time later in RD after a "feature request" to make migrating/importing easier. I haven't been following this thread closely, but hopefully this is germane to the discussion. ...Kevin -- Kevin Miller - http://www.alaska.net/~atftb Juneau, Alaska In a recent survey, 7 out of 10 hard drives preferred Linux Registered Linux User No: 307357, http://linuxcounter.net _______________________________________________ Rivendell-dev mailing list Rivendell-dev@lists.rivendellaudio.org http://lists.rivendellaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev
