Thank you for checking Nathan, I not sure what the reason would be either as an unauthorised user can make changes to a existing traffic/music log and save them.

taking a quick look, I don't see anything in permissions that would prevent someone from editing and saving a log. only creating new ones and deleting them (Which I tested to work, buttons get greyed out). So perhaps it is working properly, and If Fred left that out I'm sure he had a good reason, though I'm not sure what it is....

1. Created a user (No Rights at all)

2. Login as that user

3. Run RDLogEdit

4. Edit still appears (not grey) so I thought maybe this is so that you can just view the contents of a log...

5. Opened an existing log and made changes to carts

6. Click Save, this works... Hum

Should this be the case?

Did you not just create the user but then log that user in? you will of course need to put a password on users that have that right and may also wish to make the restricted user the default user.

Hi All

Does anyone know of a way NOT to allow logs to be edited in RDLogEdit?

I have created a user with no Right at all but you still seem to be able to edit a log.

I have even tried creating another service (music) hopping if I removed all hosts from this service except one you would not be able to see the log specific for this service under RDLogEdit.

I don't know how to solve this issue :-( Any ideas would be appreciated!

Thanks

Stan
