I'm sure I could if I knew how.  Is there a document somewhere I can look up?  
From my brief searching, it appears this needs to be compiled into the app and 
then I would run the compiled version with backtrace?

Can you generate a backtrace on ripcd(8)?  It’s liable to be very difficult to 
troubleshoot otherwise.
