Hello !
I'm facing some issues with rdcathd putting itself in a state where it
does not perform scheduled tasks until I restart it. The problem with
the current implementation of rdservice and systemd, I need to restart
the complete rivendell service set, which cuts audio during the startup
and the relaunch of rdairplay. For the time being, I was not able to
debug rdcatchd when this issue occurs.
Is there a way to restart rdcatchd only with the current implementation ?
A suggest splitting the systemd configuration in different dependent
units, which would allow a partial restart of rdcatchd, rdpadd,
rdvairplayd, rdpadengined well, everything except ripcd and caed which
are strongly shared across other daemons. Another option would be to
implement a system in rdservice which automatically restarts sub
services whenever the process exits abnormally.
Any comment on these suggestions ?
