Hello all, As you all know we (especially John!) work hard to improve RKH. While we have implemented some of our own ideas we couldn't have done this without your bug reports, feature requests and alike. >From now on you can find a CVS tarball at http://rkhunter.sourceforge.net/rkhunter-CVS.tar.gz. Please note it will be updated when CVS changes are made so it's not like a nightly tarball. Also note the installer has changed so you can do an "extra" install without fear of messing up your current install. For details just run "./installer.sh" (hint: './installer.sh --show layout custom .')
The Changelog will indicate what's been changed, the most important improvements being John's incorporation of hashupd and a new logging framework including language support. Other changes are tests for LKM's like Enye, Mood-NT and Phalanx and a new installer which will allow building RPM's and installing in other prefixes like "." or say /opt. If you could find the time to run it once in a while and report back we would appreciate it very much. Since we're moving towards 1.3.0 this would also be a good time to let us know of any feature requests you have that aren't in the SF tracker yet, and if there are any .*BSD users here we would especially appreciate you testing CVS.
