hi all, as you may remember, on Redmond Linux's boot loader screen [during installation] there is an option which is labeled "Use Redmond Linux's boot loader". When checked [as it is by default] the boot loader is loaded into the MBR of the first hard drive [hda or sda]. When unchecked, the boot loaded is loaded in the partition containing /boot. some people who like to use their own boot loaders [system commander, os2 boot manager, boot magic, etc.] have told me that the behavior exhibited when unchecking the "Use Redmond Linux's boot loader" is not ideal. for you people, i have a few questions: 1 - what is it doing that you don't like? 2 - what would you like it to do? if you let me know what you would like to see, i can probably implement it. thanks! joe -- Joseph Cheek, Sr Linux Consultant, Linuxcare | http://www.linuxcare.com/ Linuxcare.
