I'm not saying that I agree with AOL's desire to buy RedHat, but there are three things that spring to mind.
First, RedHat would get an infusion or resources, both human and financial. Second, the RedHat guys would get rich (hell don't we all dream of that sometimes?!) Third, I thought that there was a desire in the Linux public to create a distribution that could be used by everyone's grandmother?
