I'll volunteer. 

I was an officer for the GaTech lug for 2 years and I've done about 10 
installfests, so I've got some experience, plus quite a few corporate 
connectons for sponsorship and the ever-coveted swag.

I think the best way to get these things organized is probably to have those 
interested meet up face to face and have a pseudo-formal decision session.
