You probably have the same problem most people are having with the latest
releases of every distro. There was an issue with the 2.6 kernel and it
reading the partition table, installing the boot loader in this situation
would cause Windows partitions to stop booting. The first suggestions to
get your windows partitions booted is check your bios. If your hard drives
are set to auto or CHS, manually set it to LBA and try and boot windows.
If that doesn't work often flashing to the latest version does. If that
still fails go hit the SuSE forums as this is a known problem. You might
remember seeing on slashdot recently about Fedora Core 2 wiping out
Windows partitions, it's the same issue and your data should be there and
be fine the partition table isn't wiped out.
