Rich,

You sound like the hero for next months meeting! Let me know what you want to present on (all of those different topics would be great). Don't burden yourself though! We're supposed to be a laid-back group.

That sounds great! Let me know how much of the meeting you're planning on taking up (at this point it doesn't matter, since no-one else has volunteered ;).

I was thinking in terms of the original 20 minutes for KDE. It is the GUI that I'm most familiar with. I could follow it with a brief introduction to Gnome and for the people who are using an older and slower computer there is FVWM. That will show them a range of options to fit their needs and/or skill level. I use FVWM when I log in as root and I've played with Gnome some and could take some time to get more familiar with it before the meeting. By brief introduction I mean; Here is how you get to it, here is how it works, here is where the documentation can be found, here is where you set your preferences. I could do the same with Open Office. Keeping it to the basics I could cover it in 45 minutes or less and not get into too detailed a discussion. If someone else volunteers, I'll yield some time to them.Rich
