I've used the Firefox Bookmarks Syncronizer[1], and it works well. It will up/download your bookmarks to a central server that you specify. Why don't more people just write their own page of links? I'm sure most people have a little bit of public web space (from DSL, school, ISP, ect), then make a page of lots of links. I've used mine[2] for years, and it's great to go onto some random computer and be able to pull up all of my links. For other very temporary kinds of links, I'll use del.icio.us[3].
