Hey everybody. I'm vacating my job at the web hosting company I work
for. I'll be here until 9/15 and am currently training someone who will
do *part* of what I currently do. The other part will be filled by an
admin who knows Linux of course. Yes, it is taking two people to replace
me!
The job is full time and responsibilities will include keeping server
software up to date, doing hardware and software upgrades. There would
be on-call duties about every third week.
You need to know Linux (any major distro is fine, but we have a mix of
RH7.3 and 9 and Fedora Core 2 and 5 and CentOS 4.3) and the packages
associated with web hosting (apache, bind, etc... you know the drill).
Familiarity with Exim and Qmail a plus. We use the Plesk and cPanel.net
control panels.
