I have a screen resolution problem in Ubuntu
I swapped out my monitor for an HDTV monitor because of the additional real estate. At first I was getting the message that the monitor "did not support the resolution." I had it at 1024x768. The max resolution on this puppy is 1280x720.
I went in and modified the xorg.conf and "downgraded" the resolution and was able to finally fire up X. But it's horrible at this low rez. How do I force Ubuntu to use a custom rez of 1280x720?
