I wasn't able to make it to the last meeting, however check out www.docs.google.com. If you haven't messed with this, Google Docs allows you to create and maintain documents online through an interface like MS Word. You can add collaborators and everyone can work on the same document at the same time in pseudo real time. I think it updates about every 15-30 seconds depending on the amount of content being added so you can see what other document editors are doing. When it's time to submit, you can export it as a doc or pdf and mail or print it. Our group is using this for the documentation of a large class project. I highly recommend it.
