(!? Quizzical look)... Am I reading you correctly? You can hot swap Nubus cards? Surely not...
I think not. To expand on what I was saying, the normal procedure for changing one NuBus card for another is to do the following:
1. Shut down the machine. 2. Remove the first card. 3. Start up the machine 4. Shut Down the machine 5. Put in the new card. 6. Start up and install any appropriate driver software for the card.
What I was saying is that, if you skip steps 3 and 4 (which seems logical and is a common mistake), the computer will still have any PRAM settings for the first card and get confused when you put in the second. The remedy is to reset the PRAM.
