We charge a rate of $0.20 per day per active customer. It works out to
about $6 per month per customer. This is for dialup services.

We had to write our own reseller billing system (plus a few others) to try
and find the best way to manage the info. We ended up creating a seperate
system using an access database, and a few event scripts. The event scripts
process signups, suspends, and closures and adds subtracts, whatever from
the access db. Then a custom vb prog I made calculates the totals for each
day and posts a total to a table. Once a month (the first for us) we have
another program post the total from the previous month (+ late fees +
past-due fees) and post it as a debit to their rodopi account in our main
system. We then allow our main rodopi to control sending notices, etc. Our
system has it's own notices like active user listing, on hold user listing
and a few other custom reports we created.

If you are looking to do something similar I would suggest hiring a
programmer to sit down with you and figure out what it takes. It took me
about 2 months to perfect everything to work for our system.
