The system was already designed to be modular so the ideas you have are already available :-)
My main concern is that we have put a lot of effort and time into this, and there are some elements that we would not like to release as open source since they are integrated with other applications that we could well decide to sell. I still have to have a think about this and a discussion with a couple of people.
