Hi all,
I've worked a long time on trying to have an LDAP connection, using the
security.xml file.
Here is the point : Acegi handles LDAP connection with its version 1.0.0
But, in the 2.3 roller distribution, Acegi is 1.0.0-RC1 (so, some classes are
missing).
I've upgraded Roller to Acegi Security 1.0 locally and there's an open
bug for it. However, I did find some issues in 1.0, such as its
dependency on Spring 2.0, so that's why I haven't upgraded. According
to the Acegi team, they can't do a release (with signed JARs) unless
Ben Alex does it, and I believe he's on vacation for the month of
June. They recommend using a nightly snapshot, which is certainly an
option.
Next, Acegi 1.0.0 needs spring fwk in its 2.0-m4 version.
2.3 roller distribution uses the 1.2.6 version of Spring.
For now, i'm just trying to have roller in its original configuration (without
addind LDAP) working with
Acegi 1.0.0 and Spring 2.0-m4.
I'll keep you inform.
That'd be great - thanks!
Matt

It's done declaratively using Acegi Security. All of the configuration is in
web/WEB-INF/security.xml.
