I'm not really sure what will happen if you have your database setup for some other encoding. You might want to setup a test instance of Roller and experiment.
Are there any workarounds, tips, "hacks" I can use the still get my data encoded in the correct format ? Are there any special filters I can use to "transform" the data ?
I'm not sure I understand this question. Are you saying that you have Roller data not in UTF-8 encoding that you wish to convert to UTF-8? - Dave
